Many companies, including AOpen, Acorp, Biostar, DFI, ECS, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI, have already launched their SiS648FX-based volume production.  New Intel Pentium 4 and i865 chipsets officially announced Today Intel officially announced three new Pentium 4 processors with Hyper-Threading along with three new Intel 865 (Springdale) chipsets.  New Intel Pentium 4 CPUs feature 2.80C, 2.60C and 2.40C GHz support HT and 800MHz FSB. Intel 865G and 865PE chipsets support HT and Intel 800MHz as well along with AGP 8X. Chipsets also feature USB2.0 and Serial ATA interfaces and some versions have integrated RAID Serial ATA. Intel 865G and 865PE support dual-channel DDR 400/333/266 memory. Mainstream home and enterprise Intel 865G bases on the new Intel Communications Streaming Architecture (CSA), defining a separate network bus; has integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2. Intel 865G is the first chipset released within Intel Stable Image Platform Program. Formerly codenamed Granite Peak, it focuses on enterprise customer, ensuring them hardware and drivers stability for at least 12 months. The third chipset Intel 865P has same functionality and supports dual-channel DDR 333/266, AGP 8x and 533/400MHz. Besides, Intel also launched shipments of the following boards: ATX D865PERC, D865PERL and D865GBF; and micro-ATX D865PESO, D865GLC. In over 1,000-unit quantities Intel Pentium 4 2.80C, 2.60C and 2.40C will cost $278, $218 and $178. Under same conditions Intel 865G will cost $44 (ICH5R) and $41 (w/o RAID). Intel 865PE will cost $39 (ICH5R) and $36 (w/o RAID). Intel 865P — $36 (ICH5R) and $33 (w/o RAID).
Acer presents TravelMate C110TCi Centrino-based tablet Acer announced an original Centrino-based tablet, TravelMate C110TCi, to cost about $2233. It bases on i855GM chipset, Pentium M 900MHz, 512Mb RAM (up to 2Gb); and features 40Gb HDD, 10.4" XGA TFT LCD, 10/100 Ethernet. Other interfaces include 2 x USB2.0, 1 x IEEE1394, V.90 modem, PC Card Type II slot. The bundle includes an external CD-R/RW/DVD-ROM drive. The battery provides up to 3 hours of operation. AOpen AX4SG/P and MX4SG: new Springdale-based motherboards AOpen offered specifications of new Springdale-based motherboards for Pentium 4 with 400/533/800MHz FSB and dual-channel DDR400. AX4SG/P models are ATX, MX4SG — Micro-ATX. The AOpen AX4SG series includes all variants of i865 (Springdale) chipsets: 865G, 865P and 865PE. Brief specs are posted in the tables below. Soltek SL-5200-XD and SL-5200-CD: new graphics cards on GeForce FX 5200 Soltek launched shipments of new NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics cards: SL-5200-XD and SL-5200-CD. Soltek SL-5200-XD GeForce FX5200 feature 128Mb of 128-bit DDR SDRAM memory, 250/200MHz GPU/memory clock speeds; analog, DVI and TV interfaces.
 Soltek SL-5200-CD GeForce FX5200 has 64Mb of 64-bit DDR SDRAM, same clocks; D-Sub 15, DVI, TV.
GeIL Golden Dragon: a new series of overclocker DDR modules GeIL Corp, known by its overclocker solutions, announced Golden Dragon Series of memory modules. Instead of usual TSOP chips, Golden Dragon feature WLCSP (Wafer Level Chip Scale Packing) ones providing simpler PCB circuitry, fewer conductors and lower noise level.  ASUS MyPal A620: a new Pocket PC 
presented its new Pocket PC model – MyPal A620. Key specs:
According to The Digitimes, MyPal A620 is already available in Taiwanese shops, with shipments to other markets starting late in Q2 or early in Q3. As for prices, there’s not much we know, but in France, for example, they await MyPal A620 for 399 euro. The next model, A710, with a Wi-Fi module will be announced before the end of Q2.
 ABIT releases IS7 mobo family on Intel Springdale ABIT released IS7, a family of Pentium4 mobos on Intel 865 (Springdale). Below is a photo of IS7 basic model on Intel 865PE + ICH5R that features Serial ATA, 6-ch. audio with S/PDIF, USB2.0 and IEEE1394 ports, 10/100Mb LAN; Memory Stick, Secure Digital, CompactFlash Type I/II support. All IS7 boards support new P4 processors with 800MHz FSB, dual-channel DDR, AGP8x. Currently the IS7 series includes 4 new motherboards (differences in the table below).
 So, you can see that IS7 is IS7-G without 3COM Gigabit LAN; IS7-M – a variant with Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (in Intel 865G Northbridge); IS7-E – cheaper mainstream board for those who doesn’t need SATA RAID and Firewire.

Albatron announces GeForce FX5600P Turbo Albatron Technology announced its new GeForce FX5600P Turbo family on NVIDIA GeForce FX5600. These novelties feature 8-layer PCB (similar to FX5600 Ultra´s) alon with GPU and DDR copper heat-sinks. FX5600P Turbo cards have 128Mb of Samsung´s 3.3ns DDR memory (up to theoretical 600MHz).Albatron FX5600P Turbo also feature analog, DVI and TV connectors, are supplied S-Video => AV adapters and two games.
