ABIT releases IS7 mobo family on Intel Springdale
ABIT released IS7, a family of Pentium4 mobos on Intel 865 (Springdale). Below is a photo of IS7 basic model on Intel 865PE + ICH5R that features Serial ATA, 6-ch. audio with S/PDIF, USB2.0 and IEEE1394 ports, 10/100Mb LAN; Memory Stick, Secure Digital, CompactFlash Type I/II support.
All IS7 boards support new P4 processors with 800MHz FSB, dual-channel DDR, AGP8x.
Currently the IS7 series includes 4 new motherboards (differences in the table below).
So, you can see that IS7 is IS7-G without 3COM Gigabit LAN; IS7-M – a variant with Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (in Intel 865G Northbridge); IS7-E – cheaper mainstream board for those who doesn’t need SATA RAID and Firewire.
