BenQ Introduces New FP93GW/FP93GWa LCD Monitors

BenQ today introduces two additions to its LCD monitor lineup – the BenQ FP93GW/FP93GWa. Both monitors feature a 16:10 wide screen, a super slim bezel design, 5ms response time, a high contrast ratio of 700:1 and BenQ’s Senseye+photo technology for consistent color reproduction.

The new BenQ 19-inch FP93GW and FP93GWa LCD monitor features an ultra-narrow 12mm side bezel design, giving both monitors a crisp and clean form factor. The monitors, according to the press release, are ideal for professional applications such as finance, research, and communications centers as well as home entertainment applications.

The BenQ FP93GW and FP93GWa offer 5ms response time which ensures better performance of video playback and produce flawless fast-moving action scenes with no ghosting or quirks. The Senseye+photo technology transmits colors through the sRGB color gamut, providing consistent and accurate color reproduction whether on camera, monitor, printer or other devices. The two monitors also feature a high contrast ratio of 700:1 and a brightness of 300 cd/m2, offering the detailed images on your screen even in brightly lit environments.

The BenQ FP93GW LCD monitor is equipped with both D-Sub and DVI input support, while the FP93GWa comes equipped with analog input only.

The BenQ FP93GW LCD monitor will be available in Asia in March and the FP93GWa will be available in Asia in early April.

Creative Unveils Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

Creative Technology announced the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset. Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, a renowned world champion in PC Gaming competitions, not only endorses the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset, but also collaborated on this product, involving in its development from the start. The Creative Fatal1ty brand promises a superior range of high-performance purpose-built gaming products that are certain to significantly improve users' overall gaming experience.

The Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset allows team leaders to issue orders or voice messages to fellow team members in clear audio quality with the noise-canceling microphone.

Key features of this headset include:

Inphi Introduces Configurable Registered Buffer That Exceeds DDR3-1600 Rates

Inphi Corporation introduced the world’s first JEDEC compliant Double Data Rate (DDR3) Configurable Integrated Register device that belongs to the Inphi ExacTik series.

The Inphi INSSTE32882, supports all existing DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333 standards as well as proposed standards for server memory operating at DDR3-1600 rates.

The INSSTE32882 has a typical propagation delay of 0.7 nS, well below the JEDEC proposed specification of 1.1 nS. In addition, since the INSSTE32882 meets DDR3-800 to DDR3-1600 rates it allows memory vendors to use a single register for all four speed grades reducing costs and reducing the bill of materials.

The INSSTE32882 is manufactured in a cost effective 0.18 micron technology and allowing Inphi to meet aggressive pricing targets expected by computer OEMs. The new configurable registered buffer is available in a 176 Ball LFBGA green package.

The Inphi INSSTE32882 is currently shipping in pre-production quantities with pricing starting at $5.80 in quantities of 2,000 units.

Samsung Introduces Its Latest Network-Ready Multifunction Printer

Samsung announced the first in a new line of high-capacity, network-ready multifunction laser printers that offer duplex copying, laser printing, color scanning and high-speed faxing capabilities.

The SCX-6345FN MFP is designed to perform in the most demanding work environments with print and copy speeds up to 45 pages-per-minute in letter size, delivering documents with up to 1200 dpi effective output. The SCX-6345FN MFP produces color scans with up to 4800 dpi (enhanced) scanning resolution for capturing high-quality color and sharp black and white text.

From the initial set-up stage through normal maintenance tasks, the SCX-6345FN is simple to install, use, and to maintain. Step-by-step network installation and a simple touch-screen interface make it easy for offices to set up and maintain the printer, with or without dedicated IT support. Once installation is completed, the SCX-6345FN features a generous, LCD touch screen and intuitive UI design, providing simple selection and reducing the time spent reviewing user manuals and educating staff members.

While the SCX-6345FN may be powerful, it is also economical and offers business class MFP customers one of the lowest running costs in its class. Furthermore, the model's space-saving design occupies up to 75 percent less space than competing products in its class and simple, one-touch features such as an embedded "Toner Save Mode" and "ID card copy" reduce toner use and drive down costs. The ID Card Copy feature can copy both sides of an identification or insurance card onto one page in fewer steps than competing products. ID Card Copy is an essential feature for medical and healthcare organizations that want to create patient files faster and reduce paper waste. To reduce the need to frequently restock paper, up to three additional paper trays can be added, expanding the paper capacity up to 2,180 sheets of paper.

The SCX-6345FN MFP offers enhanced features for managing a wide variety of office tasks such as:

  1. Expanded Printing-Standard 40GB hard drive and automatic duplexing provides advanced capabilities for collating, proof printing, delayed printing, confidential printing and storing jobs.
  2. Scan to Anywhere-Scanned documents can be easily sent through email, FTP, SMB and Client.
  3. SyncThru Web Admin Service-enables IT managers to manage and monitor all printers/MFPs on the network. This is ideal for job accounting, usage metering, authentication, storage management, remote driver installation and maintenance.
  4. SyncThru Web Service-provides administrators with the ability to change network and individual printer settings, upgrade firmware, and view network printer/MFP status.
  5. SmarThru Office-enhanced document management and editing features for easy and convenient use in offices with complicated networks and a variety of equipment.
  6. SmarThru Workflow (optional)-streamlines the document capture- process-route system enabling easy document management.

The SCX-6345FN MFP offers built-in Windows Vista, Macintosh and Linux compatibility through Hi-Speed USB 2.0 and 10/100 Base-TX interfaces for seamless integration into networks and work group environments.
