Inphi Introduces Configurable Registered Buffer That Exceeds DDR3-1600 Rates
Inphi Corporation introduced the world’s first JEDEC compliant Double Data Rate (DDR3) Configurable Integrated Register device that belongs to the Inphi ExacTik series.
The Inphi INSSTE32882, supports all existing DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333 standards as well as proposed standards for server memory operating at DDR3-1600 rates.
The INSSTE32882 has a typical propagation delay of 0.7 nS, well below the JEDEC proposed specification of 1.1 nS. In addition, since the INSSTE32882 meets DDR3-800 to DDR3-1600 rates it allows memory vendors to use a single register for all four speed grades reducing costs and reducing the bill of materials.
The INSSTE32882 is manufactured in a cost effective 0.18 micron technology and allowing Inphi to meet aggressive pricing targets expected by computer OEMs. The new configurable registered buffer is available in a 176 Ball LFBGA green package.
The Inphi INSSTE32882 is currently shipping in pre-production quantities with pricing starting at $5.80 in quantities of 2,000 units.
