SiS M741 Northbridge supports all the modern Mobile Athlon XP chips, including models with 333MHz FSB, DDR400. It can also work with integrated graphics with hardware DX7 and software DX9 support, LCD monitors up to UXGA (1920x1600), and AGP 8X bus. The Northbridge is coupled with SiS963 Southbridge that adds Serial ATA ports, 6 x USB 2.0 ports, 5.1-channel sound, V.90 modem and an Ethernet port. In case of SiS162 the solution also receives Wi-Fi support. Currently the company launched the volume production of SiSM741 Northbridge, and notebooks on the new chipset should arrive in Q1 2004.
Fujitsu presents stylish FMV-STYLISTIC TB10 tablet PC Fujitsu presented its new corporate tablet PC, FMV-STYLISTIC TB10, that should arrive to the market late in December. It features 12.1" LCD (XGA, 1024x768), 1GHz Pentium M with reduced energy consumption (Intel 855GME). The basic configuration also includes 256MB RAM (up to 2GB).
![]() Traditionally FMV-STYLISTIC TB10 has 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x PC Card slot, 1 x SD slot, 1 x 1394a port, Gigabit Ethernet controller, and supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g. Sized 324.4x220x20.9-22.3 mm, it weighs 1.55 kg. With a standard battery the PC works 5 hours, while the optional higher-capacity accumulator provides, 7.5 hours of operation. AMD officially announces Athlon 64 3000+ Without much fanfares AMD extended its desktop Socket 754 processor series. The most interesting here is that the new chip has the same clock speed, as Athlon 64 3200+ 2GHz, but its rating is lower because of the halved L2 cache of 512KB. Other specs are naturally identical to those of Athlon 64 3200+: DDR400 support, CPUID 0F48h, 1.50V core voltage, 89W TDP, Cool´n´Quiet support. Just the price differs (see table below). At the same time, AMD changed prices for mobile Athlon 64 3000+ DTR (Desktop Replacement) processors.
S/U/M/A/ announces PLATINUM GeForce FX 5700 Ultra Korean S/U/M/A/ announced another graphics card on GeForce FX 5700 Ultra (NV36) PLATINUM GeForce FX 5700 Ultra 128MB.

VIA officially ships its new K8M800 AMD64 chipset with integrated graphics Yesterday VIA Technologies launched shipments of its new VIA K8M800 chipset being company´s first integrated solution for AMD Athlon 64/Opteron processors. We´ve already posted enough about its specs, so today we just have to state the fact of shipments and offer some previously unknown details.
![]() As you know, K8M800 is an integrated variant of the popular discrete K8T800 that additionally features the S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP graphics core. The Northbridge and CPU are interconnected by 16-bit 1.6GHz HyperTransport, while the North and Soth bridges are connected by V-Link (533MB/s). The 128-bit UniChrome Pro IGP 2D/3D graphics operates at 200MHz, features integrated MPEG-2 accelerator and supports 16MB to 64MB allocated RAM. Besides, the chipset supports external AGP 8X/4X slot. VIA K8M800 is coupled with VIA VT8237 Southbridge implying VIA Vinyl Audio 5.1/VIA Vinyl Gold Audio 7.1, VIA Gigabit Ethernet, 10/100 Fast Ethernet, MC97, 6 x PCI, 2 x Serial ATA + SATALite for 2 more SATA, V-RAID (SATA RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 0+1, JBOD), 8 x USB2.0.
