think now ![]() Zpro a new series of CF media from Hagiwara Japanese Hagiwara announced Zpro a new series of ECC CF Type I cards that will go on sale on September 13. The series includes 4 models: HPC-CF128ZP, HPC-CF256ZP, HPC-CF512ZP, and HPC-CF1GZP (128, 256, 512 MB and 1 GB capacities, respectively). ![]() According to the manufacturer, cards´ write speed is about 5 MB/s that is almost 40% higher compared to the previous versions. As it is mentioned, cards´ life time has also been increased due to a special embedded controller that redistributes data to prevent using same cells all the time.
Gainward FX5900 to be shipped with ZM-80C H cooling system Observers from Korean Darkcrow reported that Taiwanese Gainward partnered with Korean Zalman regarding utilizing new cards of the former with new cooling systems of the latter. In the nearest future we should see Gainward FX5900 with ZM-80C H, with updated FX 5600 and FX 5200 coming later as well.![]() Fanless MSI GeForce FX 5600 to arrive soon Japanese and Korean websites, including Darkcrow, PC watch, etc., announced that localized versions of fanless MSI GeForce FX 5600 videocards will go on sale in the middle of the month (depending on the region). Epson PowerLite Home 10 a new digital projector for home theatres Epson announced the PowerLite Home 10 digital projector (V11H127020), that will go on sale in the end of September. The new model is designed for the native resolution of 480p (854 x 480) and widescreen aspect ratio (16:9) for home theatres and supports Normal, Squeeze, Zoom modes. According to the manufacturer, the model can receive HDTV signals, including 480i, 720p and 1080i. ![]() In addition to a built-in cinema filter that enhances colors and tones in dark scenes, the PowerLite Home 10 utilizes a special video processor to clarify and sharpen video content. Users can also choose between four projection modes that automatically adjust the display for different room environments and sources: Dynamic, Living Room, Theater, and Theater Black (700:1 contrast ratio). Some other features that are worth mention include 1000 ANSI brightness, 1.54x optical zoom (F=1.7-2.1, 13.9-21.4 mm focal length), support for TV/HDTV tuners, DVD players, camcorders, PCs, video gaming consoles and more. PowerLite Home 10 weighs about 7.9 lbs, and is sized 11.6"D x 15.8"W x 4.5"H (w/o lens and support).
Samsung exhibits HDD-equipped video camera in Berlin At the "Internationale Funkausstellung 2003" (IFA2003) consumer electronics exhibition in Berlin Samsung Electronics exhibited a video camera with a built-in hard disk drive. The company said the product would be released worldwide in December. In Europe, the price is expected to be 999 euros (about ¥135,000). This product drew substantial attention being capable of SDTV recording. Initially the release was scheduled to June or July, with $699 price tag. The main specifications are: Embedded 1.5GB 1" HDD; still images, MPEG4 movies (25fps), MP3 audio, etc. recording. The camera features 350,000-pixel CCD and 10x optical lens. The model also has 2" color LCD (640x480), USB2.0 interface and Memory Stick PRO slot. Measured 62x36x105mm, the camera weighs 195g.
