SDM-S91 supports 1280x1024 (1.3 million pixel) at the 376x301-mm visible area, features 0.294x0.294 mm pixel size, 700:1 contrast, 250 cd/m² brightness, 15/10 s response time, 170° vertical and horizontal viewing angle, 28-92KHz line scan, 48-85Hz frame scan. New Sony Clie PEG-SJ33 (MSRP in Japan from $250), designed to replace PEG-SJ30, works under Palm OS 4.1. To attract younger users Sony also provided a number of transparent color protective covers, including orange, blue, black, allowing to read info through. The model is to arrive to retail in February. Color accessories are expected later for about $17 each. Sony Clie PEG-SJ33 main specs are: 320x320x65Ę-color backlit LCD display, 66MHz Dragonball Super VZ, 16Mb RAM (15Mb free) and 8Mb ROM; IrDa, USB interfaces and Magic Gate for Memory Stick.

LCD panel prices to grow next month Having frozen at $170-190, LCD panel prices might unpause again next month, according to Taiwanese distributors. They report that TFT LCD makers plan to raise prices for 15" LCD panels to be shipped next month by $5-10.This action will be the results of increasing demand and lagging behind offer in the fast-growing market LCD-market. Samsung announces 72Mb DDR3 SRAM module Samsung informed about the release of 72Mb DDR3 SRAM module, providing 1.5Gb/s read/write for next-generation servers and workstations.Being made using 90-nm process technology, Samsung SRAM chips require 1.2V.The making process included traditional laser KrF lithography. More light on the technology of making miniature (0.79 sq.micron) SRAM Samsung cells will be shed at International Solid-State Circuits Conference to take place in San Francisco 9-13 February. 72Mb modules are expected in volume production in H2 2003.
