Siemens announces five mobiles for North American markets Minolta announces 16-bit 35mm/APS scanner with USB 2.0 supported ASUS announces V9280S graphics card on GF4 Ti4200-8X New CPU RightMark beta announced Photo of the day: Thermaltake A6420A XaserII 6000 in action Siemens announces five mobiles for North American markets These days in New York Siemens announced five new mobiles for the North American market: A56 and M46 with extended personalization, CT56 and C56 with extended entertainment options, and color S56m supporting MMS and optional camera, being a clone of S55 to some degree.Besides camera, S56 supports Class 10 GPRS, Bluetooth, J2ME, polyphony and 256 display colors. Voice dialling, voice control, and voice messages are also supported.
For CT56 the company will offer 8 CLIPit panels, EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service), GPRS, J2ME, polyphony, voice dialling and control support. CT56 will be sold to Cingular Wireless subscribers only, others will be ablt to purchase similar C56.
A56 is a small and light entry-level mobile, supporting CLIPit panels, GPRS and EMS. As for M46, it’s not that new, as we’ve already mentioned it as far back as in March. M46 will be offered to T-Mobile subscribers, and will support 8 CLIPit panels, GPRS, J2ME, and EMS.
Minolta announces 16-bit 35mm/APS scanner with USB 2.0 supported In mid-November Minolta is to ship new DiMAGE Scan Dual III 35mm/APS film scanner.It supports high 2820 dpi resolution, 16-bit per color (RGB). So, a 35-mm exposure is scanned at max. 2688x4032, APS film exposure – at max. 1920x3328. The device can work in Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS 8.6 9.2.2, Mac OS X 10.1.3 10.1.5 and 10.2.1 (Macintosh systems support only USB 1.1). USB 2.0 provides 5 sec film preview scan, 30 sec film final scan (Macintosh systems 6 sec and 48 sec, respectively). The dimensions are 145x320x100 mm, weight – 1.5 kg, energy consumption 30W. the expected price is about $370.
Elitegroup continues to earn most. It’s followed by Micro-Star International, Asustek, and Gigabyte. Though two latter have not yet published official quarter reports. According to provisional data, Gigabyte expects up to 15% revenue growth (against 11.6% of the previous quarter.

ASUS announces V9280S graphics card on GF4 Ti4200-8X t-Break posted the first photos of new ASUS V9280S graphics card on NVIDIA GF4 Ti4200-8X (NV28) GPU.As you can see on the package, the company claims the card to provide 20% higher performance than standard NVIDIA GF4 Ti4200-8X. It’s worth to mention that the novelty features 2.8 ns 600MHz DDR memory from Samsung instead of 500 MHz memory in reference version. ASUS V9280S pricing and shipment dates are still unknown.
New CPU RightMark beta announced New beta posted on CPU RightMark website.Despite the project still continues the limited provisional version stage, installed Excel XP will enable to browse test results. Final reports are generated in XML. Overclocking and CPU Info table parts have not yet been finished. Look for more details at the project website.
