Minolta announces 16-bit 35mm/APS scanner with USB 2.0 supported
In mid-November Minolta is to ship new DiMAGE Scan Dual III 35mm/APS film scanner.
It supports high 2820 dpi resolution, 16-bit per color (RGB). So, a 35-mm exposure is scanned at max. 2688x4032, APS film exposure – at max. 1920x3328. The device can work in Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS 8.6 9.2.2, Mac OS X 10.1.3 10.1.5 and 10.2.1 (Macintosh systems support only USB 1.1). USB 2.0 provides 5 sec film preview scan, 30 sec film final scan (Macintosh systems 6 sec and 48 sec, respectively).
The dimensions are 145x320x100 mm, weight – 1.5 kg, energy consumption 30W. the expected price is about $370.
