Fujifilm announces a new 20.68Mp digital back for GX680 cameras
Today Fuji Photo Film announced its new 20.68Mp digital back for its GX680 medium-format film SLR cameras. The back features the Super CCD Honeycomb sized 52x37mm with the honeycomb pixel layout. Besides, Fujifilm´s interpolation provides up to 41.36Mp images.

The announced back resolutions are 7648x5408 (Honeycomb-interpolated), 6560x4640, 5248x3712, 3936x2784, 2624x1856. It supports CCD-RAW, JPEG (Exif 2.21) formats and CF II or Microdrive media. The burst shooting speed is 1.5 fps (up to 7 shots), sensivity is ISO50/100/160/200, the exposure is 8s to 1/400s.
The model has 4-pin IEEE1394 interface and can work under Windows 2000 (SP4) / XP (SP1), Mac OS X 10.2.6 10.3.1. Sized 140x73x140mm, it weighs about 830g. Sales in Japan are scheduled to the late January. Back´s MSRP is about $22000.
