SV-3 Instrument Viewer: wanna wear an oscilloscope?
MicroOptical, developing microdisplay systems, announced glasses with additional SV-3 Instrument Viewer system, designed for semiconductor product testers.
The package includes SV-3 Instrument Viewer, a couple of protective glasses (ANSI Z-87.1), two lithium batteries, charger. SV-3 operation is simple: it duplicates oscilloscope image, enabling worker to concentrate and view both the sample, and test results. At that, SV-3 image size is equal to a fullsize display viewed at 60 cm. SV-3 operation time makes 6-8 hours without recharging. The device is compatible with tools, featuring VGA output. SV-3 provides 640x480@60Hz image and up to 64 colors.
SV-3 Instrument Viewer kit costs $995, however the company plans to reduce it to several hundreds. MicroOptical potential Japanese partners are sure that the price can be reduced to 2-digit values in the near future.
