Philips to release digital still cameras
Philips is to release two new digital cameras: MaxCam DMVC1000 and DMVC2000, allowing to shoot photos, record sound and movies. Both devices feature 16Mb of built-in flash memory.
The higher end DMVC2000 is a multipurpose portable device combining a webcam, digital camera, digital voice recorder and SD USB card storage for short movies. MaxCam DMVC2000 features 2-megapixel sensor, LCD display, fixed focus lens, built-in mic, TV-out. The device is 20-mm thick.
28-mm thick MaxCam DMVC1000 has 1.3-megapixel sensor and similar features.
Both Philips MaxCam novelties are to arrive to European shops in mid-2003 for 149 euro (DMVC1000) and 219 euro (DMVC2000).
