Sony MDR-EX71SL and MDR-EX51: new earphone series
In February Sony is to ship new improved MDR-EX71SL and MDR-EX51 earphone series.
MDR-EX71SL is an improved version of MDR-EX70, featuring two body colors: black (B) and white (W). According to the company, earphones feature neodymium magnets, provide better sound specifications and changed polar pattern. Cable is 0.5m long, bundled with a 1-m extender. Earphone diameter is 9mm, claimed frequency range – 6Hz-23kHz, impedance – 16Ohm, sound pressure – 100dB/mW, max. power – 100mW, weight — 4g.
MDR-EX51 series will include three models with different body colors: golden red (N), blue (L) and gray (R). Earphone diameter is 9mm. MDR-EX51LP is bundled with 1.2m cable, MDR-EX51SP – with 0.5m cable. Claimed frequency range is 6Hz to 23kHz, impedance – 16Ohm, max. sound pressure – 100dB/mW, max. power – 100mW, weight – 4g.
