Do Not Need a Floppy Drive? Install Two HDDs Instead

Floppy drives are becoming rare, but lots of PC enclosures still have FDD bays on the front. To make that space useful again, one can use a 2.5-inch Dual Bay Mini Rack with RAID from Japanese Century.

Sized 101x25x150mm or 0.97x5.90 inches, the device (P/N: CERS25R-BK) is more than just a mechanical HDD chassis. The novelty features a Silicon Image controller and allows making hot-swappable SATA RAID0,1 arrays.

For the moment, CERS25R-BK is only on sale in Japan, but you can order it online at Geek Stuff 4 U for $60.
