Sharp To Start Supplying PV200 Wireless PDA To The U.S. Market

The PV200 is compatible with always-on connection services, enabling users to chat in real-time. It also incorporates versatile high value-added functions including a full browser, email, camera, address book, scheduler, games, and music player.

This PDA, scheduled for release to July 10, is the first wireless product developed solely by Sharp from design to production, and the company has succeeded by combining the PDA technologies from the ZAURUS PDA series with its mobile phone communications technologies. Sharp plans to promote this new product as the most advanced wireless PDA model for "highly demanding" young users.

LG Extends Chocolate Family

LG Electronics has announced the upcoming international availability of new versions of its successful Chocolate handset. Slated for release around the world across Q3 and Q4 of 2006, the latest versions of the million-selling phone include white and pink handsets and new ‘premium’ Chocolate phones with unique design variations and enhanced technical specifications which will be available before the end of the year.

Chang Ma, Vice President of Marketing Supporting Team of Mobile Communications Company of LG Electronics adds: “The coloured Chocolate handsets will appeal to consumers who want their phone to say something about their personality. The cool white and tempting pink versions ooze modern style and chic while the forthcoming premium handsets with unique design variations promise to be even more desirable, adding technology enhancements to unbeatable design.”

The new handsets are already enjoying significant sales success in South Korea and, following in-depth research among 18 and 35 year olds around the globe, the decision has been taken to introduce the phones to select international markets.

ASUS Unveils M2N32 WS Professional Motherboard

ASUSTeK Computer introduced the M2N32 WS Professional motherboard, which provides workstation- and server-level performance and functionality. The M2N32 WS Professional supports the AMD Socket AM2 processing platform, and incorporates the Nvidia nForce 590 SLI MCP chipset to provide dual-core CPU, SLI dual-PCI Express graphics, dual-channel DDR2-800 memory and dual-LAN controller architectures.

The M2N32 WS Professional comes equipped with 2 x PCI-X slots, 2 x PCI slots, 2 x IEEE 1394a ports, 10 x USB 2.0 ports and 10 x Serial ATA-II 3Gb/s ports to provide mega storage capacity.

It also supports a number of proprietary technologies: AI Nap, AI Gear, Heatpipe Mechanism (the copper heatpipe design covering both North and South bridges), 8-Phase Power design, Stack Cool 2.
