Sony Ericsson Introduces W300 Quad Band EDGE Clamshell Fujitsu Presents LIFEBOOK Q2010 Canopus Announces MVRD4400 MPEG Encoder/Decoder OCZ Announces New Ultra-Low Latency 2GB Dual Channel Kits Sony Ericsson Introduces W300 Quad Band EDGE Clamshell Sony Ericsson expanded its line-up of Walkman phones with the W300, a quad band EDGE clamshell. The W300 Walkman phone, which supports both MP3 and AAC music files, offers up to 30 hours of music listening. The handset features direct music keys, shuffle function, as well as a built-in FM radio with RDS and flight mode. The Disc2 phone software supplied with the phone, allows to transfer tracks to mobile phone. The W300 is shipped with a removable 256MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) expandable to 1GB, as well as a stereo headset, USB cable and music management software. In addition to music features, the W300 can take and view snap-shot pictures or record videos using the integrated camera with 4x digital zoom. The monochrome 1" sub display on the outside of the clamshell allows users to view media player information or caller display without opening the phone. The Sony Ericsson W300 will be available in "Shimmering White" and "Shadow Black" colour variants and starts shipping in Q2 2006. ![]() W300 features:

Canopus Announces MVRD4400 MPEG Encoder/Decoder Canopus announced MVRD4400, the latest in their line of MPEG encoding/decoding hardware. Designed for OEM’s and custom video recording and playback systems, MVRD4400 provides realtime, high-quality MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoding and decoding. Featuring software for capture and playback, MVRD4400 also includes a software development kit for creation of custom applications. MVRD4400's pre-filtering features include advanced 3D Y/C separation to reduce color noise and improve image quality, 3D digital noise reduction to eliminate noise in the analog video signal, a line time base corrector (LTBC) to correct video images that jitter, as well as frame synchronization and auto gain control. MVRD4400 also allows for display of the multiple-input screens when using multiple MVRD4400 boards. When combined with MediaEdge, Canopus's LAN-based video delivery solution, MVRD4400 provides support for live external video sources, such VCR's, DVD players and satellite feeds, which can be encoded and rebroadcast across a MediaEdge network in realtime. OCZ Announces New Ultra-Low Latency 2GB Dual Channel Kits OCZ Technology announced the release of the PC-4000 EL DDR Platinum XTC 1GB module and 2GB dual channel kit with 3-3-3-8 timings. ![]() Each 1GB PC-4000 XTC module features a high-quality, platinum mirrored XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader for a more effective heat dissipation possible by promoting greater airflow by means of micro-convection throughout what is usually the dead air space inside conventional heatspreader designs.
