Transcend Releases 8GB 120X CompactFlash, 1GB MMCmobile Memory Cards

Citizen Introduces 3mm Thin Flexible Wall Clock

Transcend Releases 8GB 120X CompactFlash, 1GB MMCmobile Memory Cards

Transcend announced the release of it latest and fastest 120X Ultra Performance 8GB CompactFlash card that achieves average read/write speeds of up to 20/18MB per second using the Ultra DMA technology.

Other specs include built-in ATA interface and built-in dynamic defect management and error correction technology.

The second novelty is, as mentioned in the header, 1GB MMCmobile memory card (Dual-Voltage Reduced-Sized MultiMediaCard). The advantage of having a dual operating voltage memory card is that the lower voltage feature uses less power, which means that you can get longer usage times from your mobile devices. The new MMCmobile card is only half the size of a traditional MMC Memory Card. However, by combining it with its supplied adapter the novelty is compatible for use with all devices that have a standard MMC slot.

Citizen Introduces 3mm Thin Flexible Wall Clock

Citizen introduced a very original novelty. They say they have created the largest and thinnest (just 3mm!) wall clock intended for public places. According to Citizen Watch, the clock has wide viewing angle and improved readability in low and, vice versa, bright light.

Sized 53x130cm, the clock is naturally based on E-Ink technology. If you remember, the company has recently introduced a similar watch as well.

The novelty is also said to consume considerably less energy than existing solutions, so its batteries are supposed to work up to 20 times longer.

The volume production is scheduled to the beginning of the next year, when Citizen has enough orders. The price is $4200-$5000.
