Smart Modular DDR2 SDRAM Mini-DIMM: transiting from ECC SO-DIMM to DDR2
Smart Modular Technologies extended its DDR2 SDRAM series with 244-pin Mini-DIMM modules with 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities. Sized 1.18"x3.23" novelties are designed for routers, switches, telecomms, server blades, multimedia equipment. Both registered, and unregistered PC2-3200 and PC2-4300 modules are available.
1GB unbuffered ECC and registered Mini-DIMM feature BGA components (stacked 512 Mbit, 64x8). Currently company´s DDR2 SDRAM Mini-DIMM series looks like this:

AMD introduces Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+ and Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+
AMD introduced Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+ processor for notebooks that can work with both 32-bit, and 64-bit applications. Similar to other AMD64 processors, this supports Enhanced Virus Protection to be available in Windows XP Service Pack 2.
At the same time, the company announced Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+, the first Mobile AMD Athlon solution for tablet PCs. Both Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+ and Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+ are shipping. In 100-unit quantities they cost $432 and $97, respectively.

RADEON X800 PRO and RADEON X800 XT PLATINUM with 256MB RAM: going on sale in Autumn
ATI published information about RADEON X800 PRO 256MB AGP and RADEON X800 XT PLATINUM 256MB AGP graphics cards. It´s interesting that these will go on sale in September and October, respectively for $400 and $500 — I guess the company is waiting for the new sales season.
