Transcend presents 45õ CompactFlash to replace 30õ solutions Transcend presented its new 45x CompactFlash cards with 2 and 1 Gb capacities (TS2GCF45 and TS1GCF45) providing up to 8 Mb/s read (7 Mb/s, according to some sources) and up to 6.6 Mb/s write.![]() According to the company, with time the entire 30õ media line, including 256Mb, 512Mb, 1 and 2 Gb cards will be replaced by 45õ solutions. 2Gb cards are expected to cost about 1000 euros.

A-Data announces 256 and 512 Mb DDR500 modules It turned out that not all companies have released their DDR500 products – A-DATA Technology announced its PC4000 line, including 256 and 512 Mb modules traditionally aimed at PC enthusiasts. A-Data DDR500 modules provide 8Gb/s throughput (vs. 6.4Gb/s of DDR400 and 7.2Gb/s of DDR450).![]() Module specs:
