Samsung introduces new 17" SyncMaster 173B LCD monitors

Samsung announced its new 17" SyncMaster 173B TFT LCD supporting 1280x1024 resolution. Sales are scheduled to July 12, the price is $464.

"We loved the original K7NCR18D Pro, and this followup is as good if not better due to the 400MHz FSB support. This time there is a lot more competition in the nForce2 motherboard market, but I´d still consider this motherboard one of the best."

EL DDR PC-3700 Dual Channel Gold 1GB Quad: 1Gb memory kits from OCZ Technology

OCZ Technology announced shipments of OCZ PC-3700 Dual Channel Gold EL DDR memory kits of 1Gb total capacity. These are composed of four specially selected 256Mb EL DDR PC-3700 Dual Channel Gold modules.


New memory kits are designed for Intel Canterwood and Springdale-class motherboards. They feature CL 2-3-7-3, 2.75V voltage. Each module has a "gilded" copper heat-sink and is a subject to unlimited warranty. All four 256Mb modules are tested for compatibility on Abit IC7-G.

NEC LCD Technologies to sample 8.4" XGA TFT LCD panels

NEC LCD Technologies announced the intention to sample new 8.4" XGA TFT LCD panels, NL10276BC16-01.

This represents NEC LCD transition from SFT over Super Advanced SFT (SA-SFT) to Ultra-Advanced SFT (UA-SFT; based on In-plane Switching, IPS) and enables to provide response times low enough for minimal color errors under different viewing angles, higher panel transparency and extended color gamma at high brightness.

The company intends the novelty for TV broadcasting equipment, medicine portables, PC portables, monitors and tablet PCs.

SUMA to ship its 256Mb Platinium GeForce FX 5900 SE graphics cards

Korean SUMA prepares to ship two new GeForce FX 5900-based cards. First, SUMA Platinium GeForce FX 5900 ViVo has 128Mb of very fast 2.2ns DDR SDRAM in BGA package. Second, Platinium GeForce FX 5900 SE, has the whole 256Mb of the same 2.2ns 256-bit memory!



Both models feature 400/850MHz GPU/memory clock speeds. SUMA Platinium GeForce FX 5900 ViVo, as you see, has a video input. Though Platinium GeForce FX 5900 SE supports VIVO as well, it isn’t indicated in its name. Card bundles also include several popular games.
