Sotec to ship AFiNA Tablet AT380B

This model represents a mobile PC concept in the extended Tablet PC design, featuring LCD mount with +/- 90° rotation and special 10.4-inch 1024x768 (XGA) screen for pen input.

The tablet bases on 800 MHz ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Mobile Pentium III-M, Intel 440MX,has 128MB RAM (SO-DIMM slot, up to 256MB), 30GB hard disk, SMI Lynx 3DM+ graphics, wireless IEEE 802.11b, Ethernet, V.90 modem, PC Card Type 2 slot, USB, IEEE 1394, etc. ports. It´s supplied with external 24x USB CD-ROM.

Batteries provide up to 3.95-hour operation. AFiNA Tablet AT380B dimensions are 256x216.5x25.4 mm, weight — about 1.5 kg. Expected price is about $2100.

Toshiba Toshiba updated its desktop Pentium 4 notebook line, having announced new Toshiba Satellite Satellite 1955-S803.

In July we posted news about Satellite 1955-S801, based on 2GHz Intel Pentium 4 and 16-inch SXGA display, with the detacheable keyboard and wireless mouse.

Providing similar comfort, Toshiba Satellite 1955-S803 is even more monumental sample, weighing almost 4 kg, and being based on 2.5 GHz desktop Intel Pentium 4.

It also has 512MB RAM, 60GB hard disk, 16-inch (1280x1040) SXGA display, 32MB GeForce4 440 Go graphics, Wi-Fi inteface and DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo.

Toshiba Satellite 1955-S803 will cost over $2800.

RightMark Audio project announced RightMark Audio Analyzer 4.2.
