Gigabyte Introduces RoHS-compliant Motherboard
Gigabyte recently introduced an AMD Opteron-based GA-2CEWH motherboard, its first product that follows the EU’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation.
Targeting performance workstation applications, the GA-2CEWH features the Nvidia nForce Professional 2200 and 2050 MCP (media and communications processor). The workstation board supports two graphics cards using Nvidia´s nForce4 SLI (scalable link interface) technology, with two PCI Express (PCIe) x16 slots.
The motherboard also features an internal 64-bit PCI-X bus, an S/PDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface) as well as two Gigabit Ethernet connections.
