SanDisk showcases industrial memory modules at Electronica 2004
In a month after the introduction of the first 256 MB TransFlash memory modules, SanDisk showcased two new solutions for industrial and car electronics: 1 GB Secure Digital and 256 MB TransFlash. Unlike the previous novelties, modules showcased at Electronica 2004 in Munich are able to work in extended temperature range from –40°C to +185°C.
Industrial Secure Digital modules are made using 90nm process technology and provide write speed up to 20 MB/s and 2 million hours MTBF.
TransFlash, initially designed for mobile handsets, doesn´t provide speeds as fast, but has only 11x15x1 mm size. The latter can be plugged into Secure Digital readers with adapters.
