Logitech unveils MX-1000 mouse with a laser instead of a LED
Logitech unveiled a new MX-1000 optical mouse that has a laser instead of a usual LED. According to developers, this provides up to 10 times better resolutions. MX-1000 is expected to go on sale on October 15 for ¥9,980 ($90).
The mouse has 8 buttons, laser frequency is 6,469 Hz. 27 MHz range is used for receiver connection, max. distance to receiver is 1 m. The device has USB 1.1 and PS/2 interfaces.
Sized 120x44x72mm, it weighs 171 g. Receiver is sized 95x85x112mm and weighs 121 g.
