Intel E7520 and Intel E7320: new server chipsets
It´s time to spread news about Intel E7520 and Intel E7320 chipsets (Lindenhurst and Lindenhurst-VS) mentioned late in June. Chipsets represent the new generation of core logic supporting PCI Express, DDR2-400 and 3.6GHz Xeon (Nocona) processors with EM64T, 800 MHz FSB, Hyper Threading, extended SpeedStep and SSE3 instructions.
The following features are published at the company´s website:
- 6700PXH 64-bit PCI hub for 2 x independent 64-bit 133MHz PCI-X segments and 2 x hot swap controllers
- 266 MB/s throughput between MCH and 82801ER/6300ESB I/O controllers
- 6.4 GB/s DDR2-400 throughput (16 GB/s for physical memory) 20% more than that of DDR333 at 40% power consumption reduction
- Up to 4 GB/s PCI Express I/O throughput per x8 interface
