Computex 2004: IWILL barebones, two distinguished twins
It´s time to speak of SFF systems that are very popular at Computex 2004, especially as many of them support PCI Express x16. Let´s start with IWILL that showcases ZMAX dp on two Opteron (Socket 940) processors.
It´s based on nForce3 PRO 250 chipset, has 2 x DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets, 1 x AGP slot, 1 x PCI slot and 1 x miniPCI slot, 1 x 5.25" bay, 1 x 3.5" bay, 6 x USB ports (two on the front panel), 2 x IEEE1394 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 6-channel audio. Sized 220x280x220mm, it weighs about 6.22kg. ZMAX dp also has 300W PSU.
It´s interesting that sales schedule has been changed: initially the new barebone should have been sampling in July, with volume production to be launched in September. But now the system should be expected for sale in August.

Another company´s model, ZMAX gs, is encased into a similar body. It features Intel 915G for one 3.40GHz Pentium 4 LGA775, 2 x DDR2-667 sockets, 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, 1 x PCI slot, 1 x miniPCI slot, Gigabit Ethernet, 8 x USB and 2 x IEEE1394. WLAN support is optional. ZMAX gs should go on sale in July.
