Computex 2004: S3 Graphics showcases OmniChrome
At Computex 2004 S3 Graphics showcased its new OmniChrome solution that combines DeltaChrome S4 Nitro GPU and HDTV tuner.
It has become known about OmniChrome development in March at CeBIT. Besides OmniChrome designed for AGP 8x, we should also expect GammaChrome designed for PCI Express.

OmniChrome is focused on the HDTV tuner that supports component VIVO and is suitable for Microsoft Media Center platforms. The tuner bases on 1216 and 1236ME MK3 modules from Philips Electronics and Techwell video decoder. Of course, OmniChrome supports analog TV signals via composite inputs and outputs and S-Video.
According to the company, Club-3D´s OmniChrome-based graphics card should soon hit the European markets.
As for DeltaChromeS4 Nitro, it supports DirectX 9.0, shaders, has 4-stage pixel pipeline. HDTV output is integrated directly into DeltaChromeS4 Nitro that also supports Chromotion Programmable Video Engine.
