Toshiba introduces 12.1" ACIT LCD
At Society for Information Display (SID) in Seattle Toshiba America Electronic Components (TAEC) introduced its new 12.1" TFT LCD for Kangaroo series supporting SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution. Like 10.4" XGA (1024x768) product, the novelty utilizes Anti-Color Inversion Technology (ACIT) that extends viewing angles and provides their symmetry.
The Kangaroo series is developed by Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology (TMD) and is currently used in most tablet PCs in the market. 12.1" (LTD121KM2S) and 10.4" (LTD104KA3S) ACIT-based products are already shipping for $500 and $475, respectively. The volume production is to start in Q2 this year. In Q3 the company plans to introduce 12.1" XGA solution (LTM121KC5S).
