Soltek SL-865Pro-775 motherboard on i865PE for Socket 775 processors seen in Japanese retail
Soltek demonstrated enviable swiftness: SL-865Pro-775 motherboard for yet unreleased LGA 775 processors, first introduced at CeBIT 2004, is already showcased in Japanese stores to go on sale later this month.
The uncommonness of this novelty is that it was released more than early. Note that SL-865Pro-775 bases on Intel 865PE + ICH5 chipset. It seems nothing else but a bold "sally", though it´s always nice to attract attention long before certified Grantsdale (i915) and Alderwood (i925) releases.
SL-865Pro-775 supports P4 with 800/533/400 MHz FSB, features 4 x 184-pin sockets for up to 4GB of dual-channel unregistered non-ECC DDR 400/333/266 DRAM, AGP 8x/4x, 5 x PCI, ATA133/RAID IDE on Promise PDC20579, 4 x Serial ATA, (ICH5 + Promise PDC20579), 2 x IEEE1394. No pricing information is available yet.
