CeBIT 2004: Lexar Media unveils JumpDrive 2.0 Pro 80x and JumpDrive Photo 80x
Lexar Media introduced at CeBIT 2004 another portion of products, namely the JumpDrive 2.0 Pro 80x (12MB/s sequential read/write). Shipments starting in April, the series will offer 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities for $90, $190 and $350, respectively.
The next Lexar´s novelty is JumpDrive Photo 40x Flash drive bundled with the proprietaty Image Rescue 2.0 software for recovering "lost" or accidentally deleted from the storage media. The drive has a plastic body, connectors are protected by rubber stubs. JumpDrive Photo will go on sale in April as well for about $90 for 256MB and $180 for 512MB. In the nearest future the company promises to introduce 1GB and 2GB models as well.
The next message from the company is about launched shipments of 32MB, 64MB and 128MB miniSD media (since December 2003 these cards have been shipped to Japan only). The estimated price is about $30 for 32MB, $50 for 64MB and $80 for 128MB card.
