Sanyo unveils handset digital camera module with a mechanical shutter
Sanyo Electric unveiled its new handset digital camera module, IGT99353M-ST, based on 1/4.5" HyperEye CCD that provides 1.03 million effective pixels (1170x882). The samples now cost ¥9000 ($85) and over.
IGT99353M-ST features the LC99353 CCD itself, and LC99810 DSP that processes the CCD signals (see below)
As for the CCD specs, they are: 2.7x2.7µm pixel size, 120mW at QVGA video recording (7.5fps), 2.9V voltage. IGT99353M-ST lens feature F/3.5-7.0 aperture (naturally changeable). And what´s the most interesting, the module has a mechanical shutter. Finally, the module size is 17x11x7.6mm.
