ABIT µGuru: a motherboard processor, details on the new technology
ABIT Computer has recently introduced the completely hardware system monitoring and management solution – µGuru. Let´s find out its benefits and distinguish it from other solutions, as we now have all the materials necessary.
The idea of µGuru is to install an additional processor onto a motherboard, say, ABIT AI7 (on the photo). To users µGuru offers an additional program combining tools and recommendations for boosting and optimizing system performance. Actually, being an integral part of the motherboard, µGuru provides information about its state for optimization purposes. Besides, µGuru combines the ABIT Engineered (ABIT EQ, ABIT FanEQ, ABIT OC Guru, ABIT FlashMenu, ABIT AudioEQ, and ABIT BlackBox) technologies in a single interface. And as managing features are implemented along with the separate processor, the CPU is offloaded to some extent.
Now some words about µGuru technologies.
OC Guru: A Windows utility for adjusting operating voltages and CPU clock. Can store 3 BIOS profiles for specific applications like gaming, work, and music.
ABIT EQ: A Windows utility for managing the current system state via adjusting fan speeds, (including Northbridge and OTES), temperature modes as well as operating clocks and voltages. Guarantees fatal overheating protection.
FanEQ: controls cooling fan speeds depending on the temperature mode.
Black Box: logs system information for sending it to technical support via Internet in case of failures.
FlashMenu: automatic BIOS update tool.
AudioEQ: adjusts sound settings for different applications like gaming, DVD, and even karaoke.
