A table of Gigabyte´s graphics cards on NVIDIA GPUs So, the production of NVIDIA-based graphics cards has finally been confirmed by Gigabyte Technology itself: you can see a list of them at the company website (without photos though). Besides, Jeff Fisher confirmed this form NVIDIA´s side as well. Gigabyte hasn´t shown any of such cards yet, but, according to Taiwanese sources and company´s website, Gigabyte should start shipping GF FX5900, GF FX5600, GF FX5200 and GF 4 MX440-8X, while GF FX5950 and GF FX5700 solutions will arrive early next year.

![]() The first product — GeiL GT2 Radeon 9800 Pro on ATI Radeon 9800 Pro GPU – has considerably higher clock speeds comparing to the serial models — 445/740MHz vs. 380/680 MHz. It´s also interesting that GeiL will also ship BIOS reworked to support changed memory timings. The card has 128Mb of 256-bit 2.8ns Samsung DDR (BGA) memory, and is shipped with ThermalTake´s cooling system. The company has recently sent GeiL GT2 Radeon 9800 Pro samples to the first testers. Broadcom unveils the first Gigabit Ethernet controllers supporting PCI Express Broadcom started shipping its new Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) controllers supporting PCI Express bus. BCM5721, BCM5751 and BCM5751M chips respectively designed for server, desktop, and mobile systems, are one of the first GbE solutions with PCI Express support. Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5721 GbE for servers supports PCI Express 1x, IPMI 1.5, and Broadcom Advanced Server Program (BASP). Desktop and workstation BCM5751 supports ASF 2.0 (Alerting Standards Forum). BCM5751M is power-optimized for mobile applications. Besides, BCM5751M supports Trusted Computing Group 1.1b specs providing enterprise authentification and protection from attacks. All three are based on 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet MACs; have built-in buffers and PHY tranceivers; all three are made using 0.13µm CMOS. Each chip is encased into 196-pin 15x15mm housing. BCM5721, BCM5751, and BCM5751M are already sampling.
Sony DSC-U40: 2Mp digital still camera with Memory Stick PRO Duo support In mid-November Sony plans to launch shipments of its new DSC-U40 cameras that belong to Cybershot U series. The novelty is based on the previous DSC-U30 model, and differs only by the Memory Stick PRO Duo support.
![]() ![]() The new camera has fixed-focus lens (F2.8, 33mm in 35mm equiv.), 1/2.7" 2Mp Super HAD CCD. Focusing range is 10cm to infinity. Supported resolutions include 1632x1224 or 640x480. MPEG-1 movie resolution is 320x240 (w/o sound). Sized 82.8x26x39mm, the camera weighs 114g with battery and media card. DSC-U40 will be shipped in silvery, black, dark blue or red bodies.
