Palm officially unveils Tungsten T3, Tungsten E and Zire 21 PDAs
Today Palm posted two press releases simultaneously announcing 3 PDAs as once. Tungsten business family was extended by Palm Tungsten T3 and Palm Tungsten E, while inexpensive Zire series was updated with Zire 21. Novelties differ from the previous models mainly by higher performance processors and newer software.
Tungsten T3 ($399) bases on 400MHz Intel Xscale, has 64Mb RAM (52Mb free), 320x480 colour semi-transparent LCD, Bluetooth module, and works under Palm OS 5.2.1. Tungsten T3 is bundled with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DataViz Documents To Go Professional Edition, RealOne Mobile Player, Palm Photos, Kinoma Player, and Voice Memo Recorder.
Tungsten E ($199) bases on 126MHz ARM TI OMAP 311, has 32Mb RAM (28.3Mb free), 320x320 colour semi-transparent LCD, works under Palm OS 5.2.1. It´s bundled with RealNetworks RealOne Mobile Player, Kinoma Player, Producer.
Finally, the lower-end Palm Zire 21 ($99) also bases on 126MHz TI OMAP 311. but has 8Mb RAM (7.2Mb free) and 160x160 b/w LCD. The model also works under Palm OS 5.2.1 that implies Date Book, Address Book, Note Pad, and To Do List.
All three novelties are already shipping.
