Fujitsu Mobile FCRAM family updated
Today Fujitsu announced new low-power Mobile Fast Cycle RAM (FCRAM) chips, based on the proprietary FCRAM architecture. New Mobile FCRAM support page mode and have low enough leakage current in idle mode (up to 10 microampere).
32 Mbit MB82DPS02183B Mobile FCRAM chips require 1.8 V, feature 16-bit I/O bus and are designed for current GSM/GPRS mobiles and other communication devices. Random access time is up to 85 ms, in the page mode 25 ns.
64-bit MB82DP02322A chips require 3 V, feature 32-bit I/O bus and are mainly designed for W-CDMA / UMTS devices. Random access time is up to 60 ms, in the page mode up to 40 ns.
New samples are expected in October for $8 per unit (MB82DPS02183B) and $12 per unit (MB82DP02322A). Fujitsu plans to provide about 2 million Mobile FCRAM units per month.
