Perception Digital announces FuXion Genie MP3 player
Perception Digital announced its miniature FuXion Genie MP3 player with a built-in MP3 encoder and integrated FM tuner.
The former enables FuXion Genie (PD-098-01) to record radio broadcasts from tuner (up to 30 presets), built in mic, or external source in the MP3 format by a single click. MP3 formats supported: 48, 96, 128 Kbps / 44.1kHz. The player features 128Mb of built-in memory (256Mb version is expected), supports MP3 and WMA (VBR), requires a single AAA battery for about 15-hour operation. The display provides ID3 Tag information, the integrated equalizer features five presets.
Player dimensions are 73x42x16 mm, weight — 39 g. FuXion Genie will be first announced on January 9-12, 2003 at International CES in Las Vegas. Pricing information is unavailable now.
