Promise UltraTrak RM15000 RAID: a new storage system
Promise Technology announced its UltraTrak RM15000 ATA RAID for server appliances. It supports up to 15 Ultra ATA hard drives providing up to 3.75Tb storage capacity total.
UltraTrak RM15000 ATA RAID supports Ultra160 LVD and can be combined into arrays with similar devices. RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 30, 50 are supported as well as Ultra ATA 133/100 HDDs and "hot swap". All of these are packed into a standard 3U module with an LCD panel and controls. Controls are also provided via terminal command line interface (CLI) and Promise Array Management (WebPAM) for TCP/IP connections.
Shipments of UltraTrak RM15000 ATA RAID are scheduled to April; approximate price – 4999 euro.
