Toshiba introduces 512Mb Secure Digital cards
TAEC (Toshiba America Electronic Components) introduced new 512Mb Secure Digital (SD) flash cards.
Fully meeting the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI) standard, SD-M5124BX are based on Toshiba´s dual 2Gbit NAND chips and have the standard size of 32x24x2.1mm. SD-M5124BX weigh 1.8g, provide up to 10Mb/s throughput, feature write protect switch and require 2.7-3.6V.
For the first time new 512Mb SD solutions will be shown at Digital! Experience, i.e. CeBIT America exhibition launched today in New York to last until June 20. With shipments starting already in June, cards cost $200.
