Regarding modeling of failures and of software
operation in the mirroring mode the TX4 doesn't differ from the
TX2 (for detailed information see the review
of dual-channel controllers). And here we will carry out comparison.
The discs will be attached to IDE1 and IDE2 connectors.

What I can't understand is a relatively large access time of the TX2 in
the NTFS.
The TX4 wins in the High-End WinBench test at the expense of applications
working with small-size files.

The results of 1-disc configuration are given just for comparison. It is
unbelievable! Why does the TX4 performs so bad when it works on a 66MHz
bus in the mirroring mode? It is interesting that in the recording mode
this variant is above all.
In the reading mode the results are almost equal, but now in the writing
mode the TX4 on the PCI 66 bus falls behind...
Conclusion
It is not beneficial to use the TX4 in the RAID1 mode if both discs are
connected to one controller.
Full test results are in the table.
