HP Announces Four Windows 8 Ready All-in-one PCs

HP Announces Four Windows 8 Ready All-in-one PCs

It's been two months since Windows 8 rollout, and HP reveals four new all-in-one PCs ready for the new OS.

The HP Spectre One leads the wave with a 23.6-inch aluminium framed display, an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, and a 1GB NVIDIA graphics card. The desktop also features 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and an HDMI connector. Besides, users equipped with an NFC-enabled mobiles will be able to transfer data to the Spectre One by simply tapping the phone to the base of the computer. The novelty comes with up to 2TB storage and a solid-state drive is an option. There's no internal optical disc drive though. Anyway, along with a wireless dongle-free touchpad and keyboard, the HP Spectre One will also be bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. The Spectre One will be available in November starting from $1,299.

Next, there are the mid-range Envy 20 and 23 with 20-inch and 23-inch 1920x1080 displays, respectively. Unlike the Spectre One, these models do feature touchscreens, as well as Ivy Bridge processors, Beats Audio, and up to 3TB of storage (solid-state drives are an option, too). The HP Envy 23 Touchsmart will start at $999, while the Envy 20 starting price is $799. The mid-range duo will be available at the end of October.

Finally, the entry-level all-in-one PC is Pavilion 20, a non-touchscreen 20-inch 1080p system with either an Intel or AMD processor. It will be available in October starting from $449.

All the novelties will be bundled with the "Connected Suite" with various PC, Android, and iOS apps for sharing photos, streaming music, and remote access. All apps will require an HP PC as the desktop part.
