SanDisk Introduces 4GB SDHC Flash Card

SanDisk introduced a 4GB SD High Capacity card. It will be bundled with the MicroMate USB 2.0 reader at no extra charge. These new readers work with both SDHC and SD cards. SDHC cards require an SDHC-compatible reader.

SDHC is the new designation for SD cards larger than 2GB that adhere to the SD 2.00 specification, a completely new design that is required for cards and hosts to support 4GB to 32GB capacities. The specification was developed by the SD Association, an industry standards board, which also defined three speed classes for speed and performance capabilities. These cards adhere to the SD Speed Class Rating specification which defines a minimum sustained transfer speed for SDHC cards 3.

SanDisk 4GB + MicroMate USB 2.0 Reader will be available this month for $199.99 (€159.99, Ex.VAT).

BenQ Unveils HD Compatible LCD TV

BenQ today expands its LCD TV line-up with the BenQ VL3735 – a 37-inch LCD TV featuring full HD compatibility, HDMI and Senseye technology, Virtual Dolby Surround sound and a Sensi-Light Sensor.

The BenQ VL3735 supports full HD 1920x1080 compatibility with high definition video sources, providing a finer and better picture quality as the pixel pitch of full-HD is smaller than that of WXGA (1366x768) resolution.

The embedded HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) technology combines uncompressed high-definition video, multi-channel audio and intelligent format and command data in a single digital interface and offers advantages over analog A/V connections, including the ability to transmit uncompressed digital video and audio content.

The BenQ LCD TV VL3735 comes outfitted with Sensi-Light Sensor, a special (energy-saving) feature that automatically adjusts the backlight for a more comfortable viewing experience. With Auto Input Detection, you will never have to wonder what goes in where anymore. It automatically detects the connection source in order to let you choose from the inputs available. In addition, AV connectors have been designed sideways of the LCD TV, enabling easy switching and connecting to other devices for various applications. The embedded swivel allows you to turn your screen up to 15 degrees to provide you the best possible viewing angle.

The BenQ LCD TV VL3735 will be available in the middle of August.
