Sony Ericsson Unveils Three New Handsets
Sony Ericsson unveiled three new handsets, including J220 – a stick phone with simplified one click menu access, J230 – a stick phone with a simplified menu access and an FM radio, and Z300 - a stylish clamshell.
Speaking about models in particular, the J220 is claimed to be designed for ease of use. Consumers can choose their most familiar menu - either a single icon menu that is visually simple or the Sony Ericsson multi-icon menu that gives an at-a-glance overview of all the key functions. The model can store up to 500 numbers and up to 200 SMS. Style-Up covers are available from accessory outlets for personalization. J220 is available in smooth black or sky blue.
The J230 has a built in stereo FM radio and also comes equipped with a stereo hands free to enhance the user experience. A speaker phone in the back of the phone completes the package. J230 also allows a choice between the single or multi-icon menu styles and easy access to handset features with the one-click interface. The J230 comes in cosmo white, cherry red or deep blue and can also be personalised with the Style-Up covers. J230 can store same number of contacts and SMS.
Z300 is a small, elegant clamshell available in granite grey or amethyst purple. It is positioned for "style-conscious individuals looking for a simple phone that fits their mood, taste and lifestyle". It shows the clock and incoming caller information on the outer display. The Z300's focus is on voice and text, but it also offers a phone book, calendar, reminders and alarm clock. Also it offers consumers to personalize their phones with the Style-Up covers available from accessory outlets. Also in addition there will be Crystal Decor included in every box, allowing customers to make their handsets more personal.
J220 and J230 will be commercially available in Q1 2006. Z300 will be available in Q4 2005. These phones will be available in the following variants: Z300i, J220i, J230i: Dual band GPRS 900/1800 MHz; Z300a, J220a, J230a: Dual band GPRS 850/1900 MHz - For Americas; Z300c, J220c, J230c: Dual band GPRS 900/1800 MHz - For mainland China.

Logitech Introduces New Harmony Remote For Xbox 360
Logitech today announced the Harmony Advanced Universal Remote Control specially designed for Xbox 360 console from Microsoft.
The Harmony remote, according to the press release, is able to set the Xbox 360 and all of the appropriate electronics components to the required state for game play with one touch of a button.
The novelty supports the proprietary patented Smart State Technology and one-touch activity control for switching between various states like watching movies, listening to music, viewing high-definition television, and any other home-entertainment activity. The Harmony remote for Xbox 360 can control the console out of the box, because it is preprogrammed during manufacturing.
Besides, the Harmony remote is said to be able to control any device with an infrared receiver, and can control as many as 12 individual devices.
The Harmony for Xbox 360 remote control will be available in the U.S. beginning in late November for a suggested retail price of $129.99 in the U.S. If purchased with the Xbox 360 before March 31, 2006, there is a $30 manufacturer's mail-in rebate available.
