The novelties support RAID 0, 85MB/s throughput, automatic on/off features and have improved cooling fans. LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme has FireWire 800/400 (iLink/DV) hot-swappable interface. The package includes Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS X. Latches for 19" server rack is an option. AOpen unveils Aeolus PCX6600GT-DVH128 PCI-E graphics card on GF6600 GT AOpen updated its graphics card series with Aeolus PCX6600GT-DVH128 solution on NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT GPU. Naturally the "PCX" prefix stands for PCI Express (x16). The card utilizes the Silent technology" that adjusts fan speed (25dB min. noise). Other features are as follows: 500MHz/1GHz clock rates, 128MB of 128-bit GDDR3, DirectX 9.0, Shader Model 3.0, OpenGL 1.5 support. In Japan the card is available for ¥23,800 ($230). Source: PC Watch
FoodDisk: USB drives in your dish It was hard to pass by this message: Japanese Solid Alliance decided to diversify the look of USB devices and released the FoodDisk series that imitate various food products. Looks funny, what can I say. I wonder if a real gourmet is to like a shrimp literally connected to a computer. All the dongles have 128MB capacity and cost $80 to $95. Source: PC Watch
