XMS2 DDR 5300 Pro — Corsair´s new modules

Corsair Memory launched XMS2 DDR 5300 Pro (DDR2-667) memory module series with 4-4-4-12 timing. Similar to other "Pro" solutions these ones feature heavier heatsinks with LEDs.

512MB DDR2-667 SDRAM DIMM modules (CM2X512-5300C4PRO) are sold separately and in 1GB kits (TWIN2X1024-5300C4PRO). Timings were tested at 1.9V on Alderwood and Grantsdale platforms.

Toshiba introduces two 64-bit RISC processors on TX99/H4 core

Toshiba introduced two 64-bit RISC processors, 667 MHz TX9956CXBG-666 and 533 MHz TX9956CXBG-533, to go on shipping late in July. These 90nm solutions are based on TX99/H4.

Models are designed for laser printers TV consoles and other consumer electronics. From previous solutions, these differ by 32KB L1 and 256KB L2. The next step is the release of a 65nm 1GHz processor in 2006.

TX9956CXBG series has 133MHz FSB, 1.25V voltage. Novelties are packed into 272-pin BGA bodies sized 27x27x1.27mm.

LiteOn announced internal 12x DVD Dual Drive, SOHW-1213S, supporting 12x and 8x DVD+R.

Hyundai introduces L70N, value 17" LCD

Hyundai (or rather Hyundai Display) introduced a new 17" LCD monitor for the value sector.

I guess it´s value because it has only D-Sub output and 150° vertical and 135° horizontal viewing angles. Other features are good: 16ms response time, 500:1 contrast. Hyundai L70N is to cost €384 in Europe.
