JAVOedge announces new additions for Handspring Treo handhelds

JAVOedge unveiled its new JAVOSync solution that simultaneously recharges and synchronizes your PDA with your computer. It eliminates the need to travel with your bulky PDA cradle and additional cables that are normally required for recharging and synchronizing. Tough and sturdy, JavoSync is fitted with an ultra-thin, reinforced cable that is able to withstand heavy usage, perfect for any PDA user.

Renesas SH-MobileL: a new mobile handset processor

Renesas Technology introduced its new SH-Mobile handset processor series, SH-MobileL (SH7322), to be sampling in Japan in May. SH-MobileL is designed for handling mobile multimedia apps, audio and dynamic images.


From the previous solutions SH-MobileL primarily differs by its support of 2-megapixel UXGA (1600x1200) digital cameras that are to become usual in the new handsets. By the way, by March the company has shipped about 10 millions of SH-Mobile products with up to 1.3-megapixel cameras support.

SH-MobileL bases on the same 120MHz core as its predecessor, SH3-DSP. It features 32KB of built-in memory and 32KB cache for Java apps handling, MPEG4 video and MP3 audio processing, etc.

Kingston Technology unveiled its new 1GB Elite Pro CompactFlash cards:

Therefore now Kingston´s Elite Pro CF series includes 128-512MB and 1GB products: CF/128-S, CF/256-S, CF/256ADP-S (via adapter), CF/512-S, CF/1024-S.

From standard cards the novelty differs by 6.1MB/s read and 5.2MB/s write. 1GB card MSRP is $349.

There are just some hours left until the official announcement of NVIDIA´s NV40 GPU family. To attenuate your foretaste we offer you the images of a GeForce 6800 Ultra-based solution from ASUS.

Well, it´s not a "photo" in the true sense. It lacks connectors and is more of a design concept. Nevertheless, you can already see that the card will occupy a single slot, have a unified GPU/memory heatsink, and feature popular "turbine" design. Nothing monstrous, just the power requirements are not clear yet. Anyway, we´ll all get to know it later today. So, for now, take a look at ASUS V9999 images:
