Sony Music Studios, Sydney join the ranks of RightMark Audio Analyzer Users
With great pleasure we report that the well-known Australian Sony Music Studios Sidney began using the RightMark Audio Analyzer 5.2, the Independent Audio Benchmarking Project.
Specialists from Sony Music Studios, Sydney, already use RMAA 5.2 suite to tune the 72-channel Neve VRSP professional console.

RightMark Audio Analyzer is the independent audio measurements open-source project developed by iXBT.com.
The RightMark Audio Analyzer test kit is designed for testing acoustic capabilities of sound cards and systems. The testing is conducted by playing and recording test signals that pass along the tested path. Obtained results can be saved and browsed. For those unfamiliar with measured technical specs, the kit provides results such as "bad", "average", "good", "very good", "excellent".

Qbic IQ3601/IQ3602: new barebones from Soltek on VIA C3
Today Soltek announced shipments of its new Qbic IQ3601/IQ3602 barebones on VIA CLE266 + VT8235 chipsets and VIA C3 (Ezra-T core) processors with 1GHz (IQ3601) and 800MHz (IQ3602) clock speeds.
Systems support up to 2GB DDR266/200, feature 6-channel audio, USB2.0 and IEEE1394, TV-Out, SPDIF and LAN. DVD playback is supported by the MPEG2 hardware accelerator.
