Print speed of the HL-5040 is 18 ppm, the model has 8 MB RAM (136 MB max), and a 250-sheet tray. The dimensions of the printer are 382 x 383 x 252 mm, its weight is about 9.1 kg. Print speed of the HL-5070DN is 18 ppm as well, but this model features 32 MB RAM (160 MB max) and a tray for 300 sheets. The dimensions of the printer are 382 x 401 x 252 mm, its weight is 10.1 kg. Print resolution of both models is 2400 x 600 dpi. Both of them have USB and LPT ports and HL-5070DN has built-in Ethernet controller as well. Crucial Technology Europe updates card reader line Crucial Technology Europe (a branch of Micron Europe) introduced three new USB2.0 readers. The first is a 7-in-1 device with 4 slots for MultiMediaCard, CompactFlash Type I/II, IBM Microdrive, SmartMedia, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro. The second and third devices are specialized for CompactFlash/IBM Microdrive and Secure Digital/MultiMediaCard. All novelties are supported by Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac OS 8.6, 9.x č X (ń 10.1.2) and cost €24, €19 and €16, respectively.

GeForce FX 5900 flickering: patch and official comments from NVIDIA Our readers might remember the news from early August in which we mentioned screen flickering during long image-rich texts scrolling in some modes on NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900/5900 Ultra-based systems. It seems this question is solved by NVIDIA´s official comments. Below is what nV News posted today: NVIDIA was made aware of an issue involving the GeForce FX 5900 series of graphics cards where some users have reported a slight "flickering" of the image on their screen, visible on a light color background in certain 3D scenes.
