Nokia 7250 vs. SE T610 @ OCWorkbench

"The mobile market is getting saturated and there is no sign of it waning anytime soon. With more manufacturers entering the fray, there can only be one winner — the consumer. But as a business entity, manufacturers are at their wits´ end trying to differentiate their baby from the next. With more choices and diverse set of features on offer, the consumer will have to be savvy enough to pick one best suited for his/her needs. Everyone knows that the top-of-the-line model is never gonna bring in the profit, it´s the mid-range, the middle ground, that will sell and make the shareholders smile. Let´s see how the NK 7250 and SE T610 stack up against one another."

VIA PT800 Chipset Performance Review @ Hard Tecs 4U

"We here at Hard Tecs 4U take a look at the brand-new VIA PT800 Pentium 4 FSB800 & HyperThreading reference motherboard and compared this chipset with SiS 648FX, Intel i845PE, i865PE and i875P chipsets"

AOpen AX4SG Max Springdale motherboard review @ DarkVision Hardware

"With the launch of the new 800MHz FSB Pentium 4 CPU´s Intel also announced two new chipsets, the Canterwood for high performance systems, and the Springdale chipset which is a little bit cheaper. The only big difference between both is that the Canterwood chipset supports ECC (Error Correcting) Memory and officialy supports Intels PAT (Performance Acceleration Technology). But more about that later because some motherboard makers have enabled the PAT on their Springdale motherboards. Probally the Canterwoods have passed some sort of quality test, I guess that is the real difference between these two chipsets. The motherboard we have on our test bench for this review is a Springdale one from AOpen, the AOpen AX4SG Max."

Biostar M7NCG PRO mainboard review @ Bjorn3D

"I like nearly everything about the M7NCG PRO. This nForce2 mainboard is a solid overclocker, with support of FSB speeds of up to 200 MHz. While the second built-in VGA port will appeal to some of you, the missing Serial-ATA and RAID features will likely be an issue for others, as will the missing serial port."

DFI Lanparty PRO875 Canterwood Motherboard Review @ Tweaknews.net

"Having a motherboard that overclocks as good as it looks is a rare commodity in the enthusiast market. This motherboard has it all, period. It looks great, comes bundled with a truckload of extras and can handle a decent overclock without even breaking a sweat. You just can´t ask for more from a motherboard purchase. If DFI takes my improvement ideas seriously and makes the appropriate updates, this board will be one of the best on the market. Throw this puppy into a windowed case with a UV cold cathode and you will have a real display piece."

Nikon and Tokyo Electron join efforts for immersion litho development

In the context of its litho tools roadmap, Nikon signed the agreement with another Japanese company, Tokyo Electron (TEL), for immersion lithography joint development.

According to the document, companies plan to join efforts in the immersion litho development to prolong the life time of 193nm systems. Besides, the agreement implies Nikon and TEL joint cooperation with new-type photoresist suppliers.

The near-term plans include qualification of developed elements by 2003 and transition to the volume production as soon as the new technology is ready.

Infinity Alpha series home audio speaker review @ Designtechnica

"The Alpha series from Infinity represents the middle of their product line and provides a nice compromise between price and functionality. The models provided for review include the Alpha 40 mid tower loudspeakers, Alpha 25es for the surround sound speakers, the Alpha 37c center channel and, Alpha 1200s powered subwoofer. The front speakers are about $800 each, the center abut $400, the surrounds about $350 each and the subwoofer about $800. So the reviewed setup would cost about $3500 at most retail stores. These speakers are not really intended for the smaller room but if you have the space and the budget to go with individual pieces rather than an all together set this should be at the top of your list."

HWZ review: MSI 865PE Neo2-FIS2R (Intel 865PE) motherboard

"In terms of performance, there´s nothing else we need to say but a big "Well Done!" to MSI. We were totally impressed and it seems that all their hard work in optimizing the BIOS did finally pay off. The performance of the board was extremely good and in certain cases, it even managed to beat the more expensive Intel 875P. The 865PE Neo2-FIS2R is an ideal board for all usage conditions, whether it´s for high-performance workstations or for your ultimate gaming rig, we believe the board will faithfully perform with great speed and stability."

Intel CPU-Roadmap 2004-2007 @ Hard Tecs 4U

iAUDIO CW300 256MB MP3 Player @ TechConnect

"CW300 is rated by COWON of 30 hours playback time. I was pleased to see the small player was capable of such great playback times. If you are a little bit conservative and listen no more than 4 to 5 hours a day, the CW300 can hold up to a whole week or even more, depending on the listening volume and many other settings."
