In the nearest future Elpida also plans to announce volume production availability of PC2-5400 (667Mbps) modules.
ATI officially launches RADEON 9600 PRO shipments ATI Technologies officially informed about retail shipments of RADEON 9600 PRO graphics cards.![]() According to the press release, RADEON 9600 PRO cards are the mainstream <$200 products. As for GPUs, they are made by TSMC using 0.13µm process technology. If you remember, RADEON 9600 PRO GPU was announced as far back as two months ago, so today ATI just waved the start flag.

NEC authentication: a fingerprint and a smart card NEC Infrontia, a division of NEC, announced its new compact USB authentication system combining a fingerprint sensor and smart card reader, shipments starting in July.![]() The card reader meets ISO/IEC14443 requirements. RightMark 3D: a new patch and new beta 7 RightMark3D Beta 7 is released. The project is called to help users estimate graphics card performance and quality in synthetic tests and real apps, i.e. games. Some bugs were fixed. Known issues described in readme.txt file. Patch for previous beta6 is available as well.Before download, please check the system requirements: This software runs under Windows XP, Windows Me OS. Also the latest MS DirectX9 must be installed. Current version needs MS Excel XP to generate reports successfully. rm3d_b7_bin.exe (20Mb) RM3D beta7 executable files and data files. rm3d_b6_patch.exe (503Kb) RM3D beta6 patch (requires beta6).
