These include 3.5GHz multiphase clock oscillator requiring 32mW in active mode and up to 300 µW in standby; 5GHz floating point media-access controller (MAC) with up to 5 GFLOP/s performance.
![]() Besides, the company announced the "sleep transistors" technology for energy-saving apps. According to Intel this will allow to considerably reduce leakage current to save 10-20% more energy.
![]() The company also plans to inform about such specialized modules, as TCP/IP rollout module, 8Gbps PCI Express synchronous duplex I/O bus, etc.
Photo of the day: Intel SE7505VB2 on Intel E7505 We’ve got servers/workstation Intel SE7505VB2 motherboard on Intel E7505 chipset for testing in our lab.The board supports Intel Xeon with Intel NetBurst architecture, 533MHz FSB and Hyper-Threading. Intel SE7505VB2 supports up to 8Gb DDR266 SDRAM w/ECC operating in dual-interleaved mode for better performance; features 5 PCI (PCI-X) slots, AGP slot (AGP 8X Pro50), dual-channel integrated Intel PRO adapter, Serial ATA interface, Ultra320 SCSI RAID 0/1; the board also supports Intel Server Management 5.5 software as well as Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit network controllers. Intel SE7505VB2 can also be designed in Intel SC5250-E server case. Introducing the photos of this board:
